Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Valparaiso, Indiana location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering top-notch salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision of pet safety, cleanliness, and satisfaction. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Ensure safe environment; identify and act on sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Maintain store cleanliness, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – we'll train you! Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and excellent communication. Must be flexible with evenings, weekends, holidays, and physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs in a pet-filled, wet environment.
