Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect standing, walking, lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handling pets in wet/hairy conditions, moderate-to-high noise, and mechanical exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
• Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person/phone/register.
• Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, recommend/sell wellness solutions and merchandise.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, foster Belonging culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational/detail skills, strong communication, and pet passion. Physical agility essential for pet handling.
