Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and ensures a safe, clean salon environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience, customer interaction, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person and via phone.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness solutions.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to health issues, and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and wetness.
