Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Vestal, NY location, you'll deliver exceptional grooming services while engaging pet parents. This entry-level role emphasizes positive pet experiences, salon safety, and store support, perfect for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent interactions in-person/phone/register.
- Ensure safe environments; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, recommend health solutions, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Passion for pets and attention to safety essential.
Physical Demands
Role involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
