Role Overview
The Pet Bather role delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level position involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, working in wet conditions with moderate noise, and exposure to animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and perform full bath/brush services independently.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Identify and act on sick/injured pets, transporting to vets as needed.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets, attention to safety, and flexibility are essential.
