Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Waterbury, CT location, you'll engage pet parents and provide exceptional salon services. Uphold PetSmart's vision by delivering positive experiences, maintaining safety standards, and recommending wellness solutions. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Handle check-in/check-out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Ensure store cleanliness and a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Identify and respond to sick/injured pets, recommending merchandise and services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, organizational abilities, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping in a wet, pet hair-filled environment with moderate to high noise.
