Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Waterloo store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, climb ladders, and work in moderate-to-high noise with live animals. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver full bath/brush services per PetSmart standards; greet pet parents, manage reservations/check-ins; recommend wellness products; ensure pet safety and respond to injuries; maintain salon/store cleanliness; assist other departments; follow all policies while fostering a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience needed—complete our Splash training. Bring computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), and passion for pets. Thrive in fast-paced, pet-filled environments with safety focus.
