Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This entry-level role involves bathing, brushing, nail trims, and more, while maintaining salon standards, safety, and cleanliness. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform full bath/brush services independently.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide expert advice.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to health issues, and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Recommend wellness solutions and merchandise to enhance pet care.
- Assist across departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping in a wet, pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
