Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, sharing store cleanliness duties and recommending wellness solutions. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle reservations, check-in/out procedures, and provide positive experiences.
- Ensure safe environments, identify/report sick pets, and transport to vets as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, recommend/sell merchandise/services, and assist other departments.
- Follow all policies, embracing our culture of recognition and belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
