Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail salon setting, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing per company standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend health/wellness solutions.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Identify and act on sick/injured pets, transporting to vet if needed; assist other departments as required.
- Follow all policies, participate in recognition culture, and drive sales through service excellence.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, and moderate noise.
