Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our York, PA location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services, engage pet parents, and ensure pet safety. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience with flexible scheduling, ideal for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or via phone.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products.
- Monitor pet health, act on injuries/sickness, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Seeking candidates with strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Passion for pets and safety focus essential.
Physical Demands
Expect wet environments, pet hair, moderate-high noise, animal handling, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), standing, stooping, reaching.
