Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential amid moderate noise, wet conditions, pet hair, and lifting up to 50lbs (team lifts over 100lbs).

Key Responsibilities

• Master PetSmart's Splash training for safe bathing, brushing, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
• Greet pet parents, handle reservations, check-ins/outs, and recommend health/wellness solutions.
• Maintain a safe salon/store, report sick pets, and transport to vets if needed.
• Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations and uphold cleanliness standards.
• Assist other departments and embody company values.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates excel in pet handling, customer service, organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include standing, lifting, stooping, and exposure to animals/mechanical parts. Computer proficiency supports salon operations.
