Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. This hands-on role in our Abbotsford store involves full grooming menus, client consultations, and salon operations in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per company standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in wet/noisy settings with live animals.
