Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products/services to meet pet needs.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Promote salon sales to hit targets; greet clients, answer questions, process transactions.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, humane pet conditions; respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize with safety focus. Flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in wet/noisy environments.
