Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Abilene, Texas location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and promotions
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions daily
- Handle pet emergencies and assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication skills, and ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced pet environment.
