Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues promptly, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
