Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role upholds cleanliness, safety standards, and drives salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets while maintaining salon hygiene and pet safety.
- Respond swiftly to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and adhere to all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy settings with live animals.
