Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and consultations.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation; monitor pet health and transport to vet if needed.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Requires prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
