Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while promoting wellness solutions. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our bustling Albuquerque store.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend health products/services, and upsell to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon sanitation, humane pet conditions, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a welcoming store culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, organize efficiently, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and working in pet hair-filled, noisy environments with live animals.
