Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of best-in-class grooming while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sales excellence in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must possess computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy environments.
