Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. Uphold PetSmart's vision by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and driving salon success through exceptional service and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Promote salon sales, merchandise, and services to meet targets.
- Maintain salon sanitation, pet safety; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet environments.
