Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll uphold cleanliness, pet health standards, and drive salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, humane pet conditions, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Promote salon growth, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
