Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. You'll handle full grooming menus, maintain hygiene standards, and contribute to salon success through sales and pet safety protocols in our Ames location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Drive salon sales by recommending merchandise and services.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, perform maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Greet clients, manage reservations, and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift up to 50lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends.
