Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This full-time role in Annapolis emphasizes grooming expertise, customer engagement, and maintaining the highest safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Manage salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Uphold sanitation protocols, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments.
