Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, salon management, and sales growth while prioritizing pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents with personalized wellness recommendations and service consultations.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Drive sales by promoting merchandise, services, and achieving salon metrics.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments with reasonable accommodations available.
