Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet health and safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and drive salon sales.
- Manage appointments, check-ins/outs, client records, and reminder calls.
- Uphold salon cleanliness and safety; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in recognition programs.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess strong communication, organizational skills, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs in a pet-filled, wet environment. Flexibility for evenings/weekends required; computer proficiency essential.

42,000 - 55,000 CAD / yearly

- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle pets in wet, noisy environments (experience)
Responsibilities

- Engage pet parents, recommend services, and manage appointments/check-ins
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and handle sick/injured pets
- Promote sales, achieve targets, and upsell merchandise
