Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products to boost health and sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records for seamless experiences.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
