Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Maintain salon hygiene, perform daily cleaning, and monitor pet health.
- Drive sales through merchandise recommendations and salon promotions.
- Manage check-ins, client records, and multi-channel communications.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a fast-paced setting.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
- Identify and respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments
