Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Austell, Georgia, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning.
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, moderate-noise environment.
