Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding top standards in cleanliness, safety, and pet health. This dynamic role combines hands-on grooming with customer engagement and sales in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health and transport to vet if needed.
- Collaborate across departments, participate in company culture initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training and Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and commit to flexible scheduling. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in a noisy, wet environment with pet hair.
