Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds company values, maintains pet health/safety, and drives salon success in a dynamic retail environment in Baltimore, MD.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote sales to meet targets.
- Manage salon operations: greet clients, handle reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness/sanitation via daily maintenance checklists; address pet health issues promptly.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must possess computer skills, organizational prowess, communication excellence, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled, moderate-noise environment with wet conditions.
