Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Located in Banning, CA, you'll thrive in a supportive store committed to pet health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Engage pet parents in-person/phone/register to recommend wellness solutions and boost sales.
- Manage appointments: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminders, and client records.
- Uphold salon hygiene via daily maintenance checklists and end-of-day cleaning.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vets if needed, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical agility required: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise and live animals. Flexible scheduling essential.
