Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health and safety. This dynamic role in our Barrie store combines hands-on grooming with customer service and sales to build lasting relationships and salon success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote merchandise/services to hit sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records while ensuring outstanding pet parent experiences.
• Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists, monitor pet health, and respond to emergencies including vet transport.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in a fast-paced, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise.
