Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while prioritizing pet health, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role involves hands-on grooming, client engagement, and salon management to uphold our Anything for Pets vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and promote add-on services.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and sales transactions.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and respond to pet emergencies.
- Collaborate across departments to meet sales goals and store needs.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must possess strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle physical demands (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise
- Manage salon operations: check-in/out, reservations, client records, and reminder calls
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to pet health emergencies
- Drive salon sales targets and participate in store-wide duties
