Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at PetSmart in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds company standards for cleanliness, pet health, safety, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets, water, and moderate noise.
