Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, sales, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand, walk, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy conditions with moderate to high noise. Exposure to live animals is daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and sales register.
• Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists and respond to pet health issues.
• Promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

• Prior grooming or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification.
• Computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling.
• Strong organization, communication, and safety focus required.
