Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety standards, and drives salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions/merchandise.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health.
- Drive sales, achieve targets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet areas.
