Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This hands-on role in our Bedford store combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to exceed expectations and boost salon performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
- Drive sales by recommending services/merchandise and achieving salon targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and embody company values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training + certification). Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include standing, lifting 50+ lbs, working in wet/noisy pet environments with flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays.
