Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This full-time role in Bellevue emphasizes grooming expertise, safety, cleanliness, and sales while collaborating across departments. Thrive in a fast-paced setting with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend/sell products to boost sales targets.
- Handle reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon hygiene via daily maintenance checklists; address pet health issues promptly.
- Deliver outstanding in-person/phone/register service; assist other store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation pass. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical: Stand/walk extensively, lift 50-100 lbs, handle wet/hairy environments with animals.
