Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales contributions. Located in Bend, Oregon, you'll thrive in a dynamic pet retail setting, upholding safety, cleanliness, and company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health.
- Respond to pet emergencies, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and organize meticulously. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, bending in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
