Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds cleanliness, pet health/safety standards, and drives salon sales in our Benton Harbor store. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this hands-on position involving live animals and moderate physical demands.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy environments with moderate noise and mechanical exposure. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards; recommend wellness solutions; manage pet parent interactions via phone/in-person; handle reservations, check-ins/outs, rebooking; promote sales/merchandise; maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues; assist other departments; follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Excel in high-pressure settings with composure, organization, safety focus, and communication. Computer proficiency required for client records and operations.
