Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Berlin, Maryland store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet health and safety, and drive salon success. This role offers flexibility, career pathing, and the joy of working with animals in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
• Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments common.
