Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Bethlehem, Georgia location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines technical grooming expertise with exceptional customer service, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
- Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations to meet targets.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
