Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions.
- Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations to meet targets.
- Respond to pet health issues and assist across store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy (6 months Stylist in Training). Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet hair/wet environments. Flexible scheduling required (evenings/weekends/holidays).
