Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. Uphold our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Manage appointments: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/noisy environments with animals.
