Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while contributing to salon success through sales and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/merchandise to boost sales and pet health.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and pet safety; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, organize meticulously, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexible schedule for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Physical demands include standing, stooping, exposure to wet/hairy environments and moderate noise.
