Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Drive salon sales by promoting services/merchandise to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, monitor pet health, and assist with emergencies.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and prioritize safety. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
