Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health/safety standards. This full-time role in our Bolton store involves grooming, customer interactions, salon operations, and sales growth while maintaining a clean, humane environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Ensure salon cleanliness/sanitation via daily maintenance checklists; respond to sick pets.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster team culture.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion/safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication/organizational skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled, wet/noisy environment with depth perception needs.
