Role Overview

As a Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) in our Braintree, MA location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming menu: bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions based on pet needs; promote merchandise and services to grow sales.
• Handle pet parent interactions: greet, answer questions, manage reservations, check-in/out, rebooking, reminder calls.
• Maintain salon sanitation via daily maintenance and end-of-day cleaning checklists.
• Identify sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed; assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), strong organization, attention to safety, and communication skills essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
