Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming skills with outstanding customer service to drive salon success and pet parent satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, client records, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, take immediate action for sick/injured animals including vet transport.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
